The annual trip to the Apple Orchard this year was actually a very last minute decision as it was a busy week with family pictures, slumber parties, hockey practice, and just trying to catch up from the week.  Hockey practice got done at 2:30 and we were on the road by 3pm heading to the Orchard to have as much fun as we can before they closed at 7pm.   In addition, based on the weekends’ activities and late nights with no naps, we were skating on really thin ice.  **Fingers crossed this wouldn’t go completely horrible.**

However, the kids surprised us and there was very little whining and no major meltdowns.  What??  So we were able to do everything we wanted which was: playing in the hay bales and on the playground equipment, petting the animals, riding on the apple cart, walking through the corn maze, quick dinner, eating apple donuts, hay ride, and of course picking apples.

On the drive home from the Orchard I asked the kids what they liked most about the Apple Orchard and it will probably be no surprise as you flip through the rest of these pictures:

I would only guess if Gretchen could have given us a quote it would have been something around how much she loved her very first full apple to eat.  I was very surprised at how much she was able to get off the apple with her 5 teeth.

 

For Madiana the highlight was defiantly the horses and she kept wanting to feed them
