Happy New Years from the Walkers!!
For the past 2 years we have gotten together with our friends the Fulkerson’s on New Years Eve to celebrate. However, this year due to children being sick we had to call off the yearly get together and celebrate solo. That didn’t stop the Walker’s from still having some fun on New Years though.
We did the typical smorgasbord of appetizers to snack on into the night. Which when it was all said an done we made way to much. We decided to break out the Just Dance on the Wii, which the kids seemed to enjoy. Madiana was dancing it up but she was not really following along with the people on the screen so in turn was not getting credit for her crazy dance moves. Brecken was suffering from the same problem as a couple of the “dance off’s” we had were a little too involved that April and I could barely keep up.

There is about an hour of time on TV where they decide to play the local news channels before they go back to the Dick Clark New Year’s show for the final countdown. At this point we weren’t quite sure if the kids were going to make it to see the ball drop and we were unsuccessful in finding the live version on the internet. We debated playing the 2014 show for the kids but our math wizard Brecken would have quickly picked up on the fact that it said 2014 instead of 2015. So to help keep them awake we decided to let them watch a couple episodes of Caillou, which then was only a problem for April and I were about ready to fall asleep.
Can they hold off for just a little longer until the New Year?
They finally did make it to watch the ball drop and then they all drifted off to sleep fairly quick.

Even though we weren’t able to celebrate with the Fulkerson’s this year we decided to do some fancy photo editing to make it seem like we celebrated together.
