Teddy Bear Parade

At Brecken’s school all the Kindergartners had to create a float out of a box to pull their Teddy Bear around the school. Knowing we shouldn’t wait till the last-minute April and Brecken got to work one Sunday morning creating his Teddy Bear float. Since April still has lots of fun scrap booking stuff that she shared with Brecken to help him complete his project. I think his favorite part was using the circuit to cut out the letters.  Madiana also created a float for her Teddy Bears as she didn’t want to miss out on the fun of using craft supplies.

After about two hours of work the project was complete and as you could have probably guessed it…. it was Minnesota Wild themed.

On the day of the actual parade Grandpa Walker,  Madiana and I went to watch.  It was really neat looking at all the designs the kids made.  Madiana really liked watching all of the floats go by and made sure to bring her “bear” (Hema Monkey) along to watch.

Madiana and I were excited to watch the parade. Note Madiana brought her own Bear along

At the beginning of the parade I decided to take a video of Brecken walking with his Teddy Bear float.

They made a whole loop around the school and all of the kids in 1-6 came out into the hallway to watch.

After the parade was all done I was able to go into his class room and tell him he did a great job.  Brecken said that once they got over the the 5th and 6th grader side of the school he started to get a little nervous (as you can tell from the last couple of pictures I took).  He did say a lot of kids were yelling go Wild and he saw a couple of his friends from the YMCA as well.
