Sian…. What a silly question to ask if I knew that there was a NKOTB cruise this weekend. I OBVIOUSLY knew and DID try to get tickets… They basically sold out the first day they went on sale and as I couldn’t exactly log in and buy tickets from my classroom, I was out of luck by the time the kiddos got on the bus to go home for the afternoon. Boooooooooooooo. I actually asked my doctor way back at week 12 about travelling this weekend and whether or not it would be okay…. Ironically, he said that it “should be fine, as long as everything was going normal in the pregnancy.” Good thing tickets weren’t available as I don’t think I’ve had a single moment of normalcy throughout this wretched pregnancy. As a consolation prize, Eric and I (along with my brother and sister-in-law) got tickets to go to a few Chicago Cubs games at Wrigley this weekend so were planning on being in Chicago. Eric was excited for the games and I was excited for my “tour of food” that I make a priority whenever I’m at the ballpark. There is a pizza place tucked under the El and before you head into the stadium that has slices the size of a small donkey. I am NOT exaggerating. Small donkey sized pizza and a soda for less than $5…. You can’t beat that!!! My brother and sister-in-law said they would divide my food schedule (pizza/ hotdog/ nachos/ etc.) amongst them and eat all of my faves in my honor. Enjoy the games guys!!! Between NKOTB Bahamas cruise and Cubs tickets, I feel like I’m missing out on a ton this weekend 🙁 This kid owes us……
Weekend Shananigans
What a beautiful day outside! Don’t tell my doctor, but I rode around in the car with Eric for a little bit today… He had some errands and I wanted to leave the house, so it all worked out. To our moms…. No, I didn’t have contractions. Yes, I am feeling fine. No baby. All is good. STOP WORRYING.
Eric is travelling for work next week and will be leaving for South Carolina tomorrow afternoon. We’ve been lucky that he hasn’t had to travel in a long time, but our joke is that there will now probably be a baby next week as it’s the first time he’ll be gone!! Just our luck…. My mom is coming up tomorrow and will stay through Wednesday when Eric gets back.
The American Idol finale is this week, so that gives me something to look forward to! Go Kris Allen!!!!!! Everyone use your voting power on Tuesday to help him win 🙂 I believe Dancing with the Stars and Gossip Girl both have their season finales this week, and a new season of The Bachelorette begins Monday! I can’t wait until I no longer have the time to center my life around tv 🙂
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and hope the sun is shining wherever you are!
April
A little fresh air does a girl good! I told Ryan about the Dogbook- all I got was a look and a “don’t even think about it.” So I guess I won’t be signing up to add to Tucker & PJ’s friends list. I still laugh whenever I think about the whole concept of Dogbook. Have a good time with your mom for the next few days. 32 weeks- good job! It’s getting closer, but you look great!
Hi April! I just wanted to send a note to let you know that I’m keeping up with the blog and thinking about you! I called you a while back, but for someone who’s bedridden you seem to be pretty difficult to get a hold of ;)! I’m glad that you got out and enjoyed the sunshine, it seems to have lifted your spirits.
Well, it’s crazy but the end of my time at Dartmouth is quickly approaching. Amazing how the time flies (even when you’re not having fun haha). I finish my honors thesis this coming week, and am done with classes forEVER on June 2nd. Graduation is June 14th, and Grandma and the whole gang are coming out to see me. I’m really looking forward to it. Anyway, I’d love to catch up with you sometime when you have some free time, afternoons are the best time to get a hold of me.
Sending lots of hugs and warm thoughts your way!
Love you tons xxx
