We are happy to report that it was a fairly uneventful weekend and Junior is officially in his 25th week! YAY! Friday was a fun day, as I had several visitors throughout the day to keep me company…. Made the day fly! Thanks for everyone who stopped by 🙂 And for all the great things you bought!! Thank you, thank you!
Saturday and Sunday were pretty low key with Eric running errands, catching up on laundry, dishes, etc. And me… Well, I just laid on my left side:) Matt, Jill, and Michael came over Saturday night for dinner and as always, it was fun to see them. Little Michael (16 months) has now perfected the art of climbing up Tucker and PJ’s stairs beside my bed so he can get to me.
He even shared some Dairy Queen ice cream with Auntie April while sitting on the bed 🙂 Yum.
Eric and I played board games yesterday. Has anyone ever played “Life” with someone who counts his moves aloud and with each pass of “Pay Day” substitutes the respective number with “Cha Ching!” Very annoying. Of course his career and salary were better than mine so his pay days were a little more meaningful than mine. How true life was played out during our board game, ha 🙂 And incase anyone is wondering, no Eric did not take pity on the patient and let me win. He counted up his money to the dollar and announced exactly how much he beat me by.
Nice. Guess I should stick to the solo games like Suduko and Cross Word Puzzles. I may not be good at them, but no one actually beats me.
The weather seemed so nice out this weekend! I have no proof of that, but know that I didn’t see any snow through the window and Eric opened the windows up to let fresh air in. It felt good. Eric did some small bedroom changes to try to accomodate the left side laying….. He even sacrificed his “Wii” tv downstairs (our big screen) and brought that up to the bedroom. WOW, what a difference that makes!! Watching a movie is now a whole new experience and I would have never dreamed of having such a big tv in the bedroom. Will never
again after Junior is here, so might as well enjoy it while I can! We also now have a small dorm fridge in our master bathroom. Odd, you might say? Yes… However, this allows me to grab my sack lunch and fresh water when I’m up for my once/ three hour potty breaks and then clears up some area on my nightstand to keep books/ magazines/ etc. instead of having my little lunch box there. It’s amazing all that I have accomplished and been able to do in the past 7 days, all within the confines of 4 walking steps.
Contractions are staying consistent (but not worse), and although I’m having more pressure/ pain I wonder if some of that is simply due to laying around and not being able to move around? Junior is also moving around a ton and I swear I counted over 15 full somersaults yesterday alone. Eric says he’s gearing up for track and I say he’s going to be in gymnastics someday! Either way, he seems to be growing each day and despite the horrible angle in which I now have to take pictures, the tummy gets bigger and bigger!
Brian always beats me at the game of life as well…it always seems to play out about the same way for me, teacher salary is my destiny! 🙂 Love the pictures and the updates! -Chris
You look good in the pictures…but just to make sure I’m coming up tomorrow to check on you. I thought about bringing your little school bell you used to ring when you needed something from your sickbed when you were younger, but I know Eric would not appreciate that.
See you soon,
Love Mom
Congratulations on 25 weeks! We miss you at work but are glad to know you are doing what is necessary to keep you and little Junior healthy. I’m sending positive vibes your way. Stay well April! -Barb Cruz
Walkers–
Hello! I read through this and wanted to let you know that I can somewhat relate. I started the same procedure–however, was further along. I had the whole pre-term labor, steriods to mature the lungs, medication to keep the contractions away, a couple overnight hospitals stays, and off and on bedrest with a whole month before he was born. This was all with Ellery (my youngest). He was born a day shy of 3 weeks. He was 8 lbs 12 ounces and the only trouble he had was a little breathing trouble at first…but came out of it quickly! I will continue to pray that your experience will be like my own. I know how scare and crazy it is. I thought my happy ending would help! Call or email me if you need anything. I know the boat you are in!
MacKenzie 🙂
weeks in bed sounds like a dream to me:) Wait till you chase the little man around for 6 years and have a couple more in tow. You should teach yourself how to knit and make millions of baby hats;) No just kiddin. I’m working in labor and delivery tonight I really feel for you; but hope for him (expically because hes a boy) that things stay pretty dull and he makes that 28 wk mark. I’ll have to stop up and see you one evening after a shift. Hope all goes well take care:) Your cousin, Alyse
