After a long summer hiatus of not skating, I thought it was time to get Brecken on skates again before we setup our own hockey rink in the backyard. Also, during the summer we had purchased him his very own hockey skates that he has been excited to try out.

Sure enough I miss calculated how much he has been relying on figure skates and the first half of skating was a real struggle for him (even with the helper). However, for the second half (as I wanted him to enjoy it) I rented some of the figure skates and he again loved it.
